DIY Photo Coasters

So I found this great idea on Pinterest. People are making their own Photo Coasters. So I printed some Instagram photos off and decided to try it out. Here's how you can make your own.

 The items you'll need:
  • Mod Podge
  • 4x4 Ceramic Tiles
  • 4x4 Photos
  • small foam brush
  • felt

Here's how I did it:

  1. Apply a thin layer of Mod Podge to the top of the tile, be sure to get the corners and the sides.
  2. Next, you will want to place the picture you're wanting on your coaster on top. Let it dry for roughly 5 min or so.
  3. Do 3 layers of Mod Podge on the back of your tiles. Allow each layer dry for about 15 minutes.
  4. Do 3 layers of Mod Podge on the front (on top of the picture) of your tile. In between, let it dry for about 15 minutes.

Be sure to get the corners and sides covered with the Mod Podge.

I did this photo coaster project today and will be allowing it to dry for 3 days to ensure it seals. Hot glue felt on the bottom so they don't scratch the furniture. The felt can be squares, cover the whole thing, however you want to do it.

And... here is how mine turned out!

They turned out great! I'm really excited about how they look and I can wait to use them! They'd also make a great gift for birthdays, Mother's day, Christmas, weddings, showers, etc. I'm planning on making some as upcoming gifts for friends and family. I think they'll love them. Happy DIY'ing yall! :)
